The Merrie Pryanksters are an English Country Dance troupe who perform at Renaissance Faires and community events throughout Northern California. Dances are (loosely) based on the book The English Dancing Master by John Playford (1651). The group’s motto is “If you can walk, you can dance.”
There are dances appropriate for all levels of dancer, from those just starting out to those with years of experience. If you would like to join us for this type of social and performance dance experience, please contact us using the form on this site. We meet twice monthly in the East Bay and in Davis, and have monthly dance parties at various Bay Area locations.
